Andrew Capirchio (@athlete_growth)
Andrew had a unique journey going from walk-on to a team captain and he now shares his story and tips with others.
Tons of great athlete development content on top of his recruiting tips.
Super relatable and ambitious dude as well.
William Payne (@TweetsbyCoachP)
Coach Payne is a real one. A former college coach turned AD he knows the game inside and out.
Several of his tweets have blown up over the years and rightfully so.
Coach P is a big advocate for exploring all of your options athletically and academically.
D3 Direct – Karl Barkley (@D3Direct)
Karl has done a fantastic job with D3 Direct. Everyone wants to play D1, but the truth is most student-athletes will only have a chance at the Division 3 level.
Through tweets and interviews with former Division 3 student-athletes, you’ll get an inside look at a bunch of different perspectives within the college sports world.
There are a ton of great opportunities out there and D3 Direct will help you understand the landscape.

Robert is a Division 2 college football coach that speaks his mind.
He provides tons of great recruiting tid-bits along with updates on what you should be doing at certain times of the year.
He’s a football coach, but nearly all of his posts are relatable to every sport.
Chadwick Hixon (@CoachHixonDimes)
Coach Hixon is a super relatable AAU and HS basketball coach that calls a spade a spade. I love hearing his thoughts.
He is a big proponent of families taking charge in the recruiting process and creating exposure from within.
On top of his own great content, he is very supportive of all accounts in the recruiting niche.
J.R. Sandlin (@JR_Sandlin)
Coach Sandlin popularized recruiting tips with his go-to hashtag #recruiting101.
He does a great job explaining what he looks for as a coach and how your accounts should be presented.
A college coach over the age of 30 that embraces social media..you love to see it!
David Watts (@DWCInfo)
David does a great job sharing top posts from a bunch of different creators, while also putting his own spin on things.
He is about building the wholistic-person, not just the athlete.
It’s more than just being a talented athlete, and DW understands that better than anyone else.
Coach Tony Caljean (@coachkage)
The way Coach Caljean runs his social media accounts is a beautiful sight.
Not only does he help with recruiting, but he also is extremely transparent about what they look for in players at Whittier College.
Football-based, but very relatable to all sports.
Jamy Bechler (@CoachBechler)
Jamy has a wide range of expertise around the sports world and shares it daily.
At first, I wasn’t going to include him on this list as it’s not directly recruiting based, but the more I thought about it, the more I realized he is a huge recruiting help.
From being a leader, to managing academics, and developing life-skills so you can build up the character component coaches are looking for in recruits.
